talented, experienced, interested, and supportive people on its
Board of Advisors.
Nello Zuech founded Vision Systems International, Inc.,(VSI) in
Yardley, PA, in 1984. He serves as president of the company, an
engineering and marketing consulting firm which concentrates on
machine intelligence, machine vision, intelligent sensors, electronic
imaging, electro-optics and non-destructive evaluation.
Nello has authored and co-authored a number of books, including
his latest, "Understanding and Applying Machine Vision,"
which Brian Smithgall of Vision 1, the vision-industry integrator
and reseller, described as "an excellent resource for anyone
involved in machine vision, from the technician to the project manager."
"Understanding and Applying Machine Vision" is published
by Marcel Dekker.
Nello has literally wrote the industry report on the machine vision
industry with forcasts through 2007. This gives him a unique perspective
on the overall market and it's direction.
Nello Zuech has also written numerous articles for trade periodicals
and has chaired numerous sessions for the SME, ISA, and other professional
societies. A member of the World Bank Consultancy Registry, the
SME College of Fellows, IEEE and IEEE Consulting Group, SPIE, and
Tau Beta Pi, Nello was also a charter member of the Machine Vision
Association, a past chairman and recipient of that group's Chairman's
Award in 1994. The SME has granted him Certification by Stature
as a Manufacturing Engineer; Machine Vision Engineer. The Automated
Imaging Association has honored him by presenting him the Year 2000
Achievement Award for outstanding contributions to the field of
machine vision.
Fred Kline, CPA, has been an accountant since 1982. His general
areas of specialization include accounting, taxation, and small-business
consulting, primarily for high-technology and professional-service
companies. Fred has particular expertise in federal government contracts
and in representing DoD clients in Defense Contract Audit Agency
(DCAA) audits. He is a member of the New Hampshire Society of CPAs,
the AICPA and the New Hampshire High Technology Council.
Robert Adelson has been a corporate and tax attorney since 1977.
He began as an associate at the major New York firm Dewey Ballantine,
then returned home to Boston in 1985, where he has been a partner
at several small and midsize Boston law firms. He holds degrees
from Boston University, B.A., summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa,
Northwestern University (Chicago), J.D. and Law Review member, and
New York University, LL. M. in Taxation.
Since March 2000, Mr. Adelson has been a partner at Zimble & Brettler
LLP, a 10-attorney general practice law firm in Boston's financial
