The VS1501 achieves 5760 MIPS of performance (comparable to a 2.5GHz Pentium processor), yet it is packaged in a small 6 x 5 x 2-inch enclosure, and the VS1501 consumes only six watts of power, maximum.
The VS1501 can also be used as a "pre-processor," doing complex number crunching in multiple camera arrays before passing the data on to another processor.
